Development and metal extraction characteristics of tridentate organophosphorus extractant

The extractants play a key role in extraction separation efficiency in solvent extraction. In this study, we synthesized the novel organophosphorus extractant in which an amide group and phosphoric group are connected with an ether chain, and the extraction characteristics were evaluated through comprehensive extraction targeting 56 kinds of metal ions. As a result, it was found that the extractant exhibits greater extraction and separation ability for Pb(II) cations than commercially available organophosphorous extractant.
